One Dartmouth Initiative
Evergreen is a community effort, and we're grateful to our peer partners for their expertise, support, and commitment to care. Most importantly, this wouldn’t be possible without dedicated students like you.

The Research
Dartmouth has been leading the way in creating digital tools for well-being, and now we're bringing that research to the student community!
The Evergreen student wellness initiative builds on the work of Andrew Campbell, who created StudentLife - an app that uses smartphone data to reveal how college life affects mental health. Evergreen is also based on research by Nicholas Jacobson, who led the first randomized controlled trial of a generative AI chatbot, Therabot, demonstrating the potential of AI-driven support for emotional health. It's also founded on work by Lisa Marsch, a global leader in digital therapeutics for behavioral health, who developed the first prescription digital therapeutic in the U.S.
By blending AI, behavioral science, and in-depth input from over 100 Dartmouth students, the goal is to develop a highly-personalized digital platform with the tools to help you overcome challenges, boost your well-being, and succeed at Dartmouth and beyond!
